Project Description

The U.S. military base named “Naval Support Activity - Capodichino” is located alongside the civil airport of Naples, sharing with it runways and landing strips. This project is one of the most important examples of military facilities, where attention to quality of life has reached a level of excellence. Indeed, next to the strategic buildings lodging Commands of Air Force and Navy of the U.S. Sixth Fleet and those for offices, there are a number of facilities destined to soldiers and their families. The base is organized as a “campus” where you can find lodgings for unmarried soldiers as well as for those who are on temporary mission, a supermarket, a leisure complex which consists of a club, a theatre, a library, a multi-faith chapel. Special attention is devoted to wellness thanks to a “gymnasium” equipped with an indoor pool, basketball courts and gyms. There is a canteen, a medical and dental clinic, a kindergarten and an air terminal to welcome passengers transiting and arriving to the base. Among the service buildings there is a structure that lodges workshops, a joinery, a steel carpentry, two multilevel parking and a number of sheds for goods storage.
